A Study on American Music Education Curricula and Systematic Supports

ABSTRACT

The major issues of American music education have continually influenced on those of Korea since 1945. This study examined the apparent features of American music education focusing on educational systems, learning standards, school districts and society supports. The examination revealed that even though music education of America doesnot seem to be treated seriously in society because of its small allotment of class time or its optional characteristics, it is supported richly through the systems and resources.
