ABSTRACT

The rapid development of artificial intelligence has attracted increasing attention within the Chinese music education community. This study aims to provide a systematic review of research in this field. Using bibliometric methods, it conducts a multi-dimensional analysis of publication trends, research topics, research objects, institutional distribution, journal affiliation, and research methods. The findings indicate that the field has evolved through stages of initial exploration, rapid expansion, and deeper reflection. Research mainly focuses on comprehensive discussions of artificial intelligence and its educational applications, with higher education institutions serving as the primary contributors. In terms of methodology, theoretical research occupies a dominant position, while empirical studies remain relatively limited. Overall, research on artificial intelligence in Chinese music education is still largely at the stage of theoretical development and requires stronger interdisciplinary collaboration and more empirical evidence to achieve deeper integration and sustainable advancement.
