Problems and Improvements in Curriculum Implementation

ABSTRACT

Enhancing curriculum effectiveness implies that school educability must be observed to meet the intented purpose of the curriculum, so that to bring about the expected results in students` educational attainments eventually. If the educational effects can not be attained as was intented in the curriculum, then the causes could be incurred from the structure and/or the contents of the curriculum itself or from some peocedual variables that must be considered in the course of curriculum implementation. The purpose of the present study was to enhance the effectiveness of the music education curriculum, and therefore, it tried: 1) to observe the bases of learning with reference to the child, society, systems of cultural values as well as area of learning; and 2) to draw some principles effective to better educational instructions and some recommendations far better operation of the curriculum, by way of studying the levels and amounts of learning, time allocation, the use of guide books, diversity of teaching methods, inservice training of the teachers, etc. from various perspectives.
