The purpose of this study was to review previous researches and recent trend of children music education related to multiple intelligence theory, and develop new model of children music education program applicable in the educational field. In this regards, the question of this study was as follows; 1. What is the new model - its contents and methods - applicable to children` music education? 2. What is the reactions and effects of this model to 2-1 the children and 2-2 to teachers? Based upon multiple intelligence theory and related children`s music education researches, we could confirm the importance of children`s musical intelligence and the necessity of new model suitable for children. We deduced basic principles of this model and developed new model of children`s music education program This model is affected by project spectrum activities by Chen and project spectrum evaluation tools by Krechevsky, and consists of definition of concepts, purposes, contents, instruction - learning methods and evaluation. This program was applied to thirty of 4-5 years old kindergarten children in Seoul for 3months, and interviewed 20 of teachers for its effectiveness and other related reactions. After we practiced this program to the children, we found that their interests and participation to musical activities has been increased. They became more sensitive to musical tempo and rhythmic pattern, and their emotional expressions has been increased when they are singing or playing musical instruments. Teachers replied in the interview that this program is applicable to music classes in relation with the necessity of music education program based on multiple intelligence theory. This program of children`s music education based on multiple intelligence theory was verified as a model to be practiced with high effectiveness. We proposed the development of teacher-training program and evaluation tools for the integrity of children`s music education and other intelligence quotient, based upon program model developed in this study.
