The purpose of this study is examining characteristics and expected effects of different types of interdisciplinary curriculum on education. A variety of curriculum integration options raging from concurrent teaching of related subjects to fusion of curriculum focusing on daily life can be suggested. As interdisciplinary curriculum design illuminates the value of higher order thinking and learning skills that may critical to making teaching and learning meaningful to students ' life, this study contemplates on how we start integration to make teaching music more meaningful and powerful.
