Application of the Structure Centered Pairs Check Model to the Danso Lesson in the Elementary Korean Instrumental Class

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was placed on developing and applying a Danso class model, applicable to Elementary School instrumental music education about Korean traditional music, to classes by searching the characteristics and principle of the pairs check model, one of the cooperative learning. The developmental procedure of the Danso class model following this was planned with the phases of setting a study goal, setting the complementation, searching out the basic function, pair activities, changing roles between pairs, checking tl1e pair, evaluating, and performing com ementation while the analysis method of the applied class was anal 짜 with qualitative research methods through class observation, study results, and interview data. As a result of the analysis, the pair-checking Danso classes increased instrumental performance abilities by heightening the study efficiency as well as raised the interest, fascination, and degree of participation within Korean traditional music classes. Moreover, it led to active Korean traditional music classes by aggressively extracting mutual musical actions while showing big improvements in the increase of self-learning studies.
