The Influence of Elementary Composition Program Based on Arts PROPEL on Self-Efficacy

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of elementary composition program based on Arts-PROPEL learning methods on student`s self-efficacy. This research was conducted for the 6th grade 35 elementary students of Y School in Kimpo City. Tests used in pre- and post-test was applied in the general self-efficacy scale. In the result of this study, the elementary composition program based on Arts-PROPEL learning methods similarly increased self-control efficiency (t=3. 44, p<0. 001) and task difficulty preference (t=3. 48, p<0. 001). Following conclusions are obtained through the qualitative analysis result conducted to overcome the statistic analysis result. First, the elementary composition program based on Arts-PROPEL learning methods is helpful in getting interest and enhancing self-confidence for listening and composing. Secondly, the elementary composition program based on Arts-PROPEL learning methods helps in self-directed learning.
