The Analysis of Music Curricular for the First and Second Graders in Six Countries: Japan, USA, UK, France, Germany and Finland

ABSTRACT

In this study, the author will find any suggestions for the effective model of ``Happy Life``, a Korean integrated subject of the 1st and 2nd grade, by looking at the tendency of recent music education for foreign 6 elementary schools` 1st and 2nd students. The target of this study was analysis of an education course and the author considered and analyzed formation and composition of music and education course (its characteristic, target, contents, lecturing & studying method, and estimation). The nations for this research are Japan, USA, England, France, Germany and Finland. From the result of this study, an independent subject such as ``Music`` or music from the art related subject has been taught for the elementary schools in the above 6 foreign nations and the author found that any body expressing activity has been performed very important in music activity. Also, understanding music and uplifting sociality through community activities was found to be taught very important from the viewpoint of devotion for music, developing creativity, various experience for music, enhancing the expressions of music, developing esthetic sensibility, and historical and cultural contexts from the music relating subjects.
