The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between performance anxiety and performance experience among piano majors in Korean universities (n=250), and to identify the perceived factors that influenced the performance anxiety and the solutions to the problems of performance anxiety. The results indicated that there was a significant correlation between the level of performance anxiety and performance experience among Korean piano majors (r=-44, p<.01). In addition, the participants pointed out that the lack of enough practice and rehearsal was the most influential factor impacting their performance anxiety and suggested that piano majors experiencing performance anxiety need to have enough practice time and performance experience as much as possible in order to reduce the level of performance anxiety. Recommendation and conclusion were provided for piano majors and professors in Korean universities.
