This study investigated the effects of creative music making connected cooking activities based on picture books. Subjects are forty-four children from two class of B kindergarten in P city and S kindergarten in W city. One class was assigned to an experimental group and had creative music making connected cooking activities based on picture books and the other class was assigned to a comparative group that had general music activities. The results of this study are as follows there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in their sense of rhythm of and fluency and openness of creativity. These findings suggest that creative music making connected cooking activities based on picture books can be an effective teaching-learning method for musical ability and creativity.
