The purpose of this study was to examine how the creative music drama activities have effects on young children`s creativity and social skills. This study would be able to find out effective ways for conducting creative music drama activities and to provide basic data about the educational values of the creative music drama activities. The creative music drama activities were applied to the experimental group with 5 years old for 12 weeks. The results of this study were as follows: First, creative music drama activities have positive impacts on young children`s creativity. There were significant differences in creativity between the experimental group and the control group. In the sub-factors of creativity, the experimental group showed significant differences in fluency, flexibility, originality, and imagination. Second, creative music drama activities have positive impacts on young children`s social skills. There were significant differences in social skills between the two groups. The experimental group showed significant differences in cooperation, self-assertion and self-control in the sub-factors of social skills.
