A Research for the improvement of the teachers` teaching proficiency through the activity of PLC in the art subject

ABSTRACT

This research is based on PDS(Professional Development System) focusing on the strengthening of the teacher`s teaching ability and the professional perspectives. One of the suggested methods of PDS practice for the field of education is forming the PLC Professional Learning Community. It usually consists of the professional researchers and the teachers of schools. The purpose of PLC is to have a deeper understanding of the field of education and make a open channel between the research and the actual field striving for the growth of the qualified education system in general. In order to understand how PDS and PLC can work for this purpose try to define the meaning and the methodological way of practice for this research along the required standards as the art teachers in the states for an example. Then the common understanding of the field teachers who teach the lower grades in the elementary schools can be found on teaching the arts for the students. Through the process expect to get a general notion of teaching the subject of the art in the elementary school systems. This research is still in process and the cumulation of the effort to make a connection between the research and the practice in education can open a new door for many difficulties we are currently facing in the art education.
