The purpose of this study is to develop the practicum program based on reflective practitioner for promoting expertise of secondary pre-service music teacher. For the development of the program, three processes were done as follows: first, through the fundamental research, the trend of research dealing with practicum program were reviewed. Second, the trend of research focusing on the reflective practitioner were also investigated. Finally, the component and operation condition of the pre-service music teacher`s practicum program subjects were reviewed. Through the analysis of practicum programs in Korea and the U. S., reflective practitioner and the survey of the perception of pre-service music teachers`, the researcher could have some important ideas and make more systematic and advanced practicum program of our own. Including an advisory committee, the various way were used for validating of the program. As a result of the study, the practicum program based on the promoting expertise of econdary pre-service music teacher, the emphasis of the pre- and post-education, reflecting of the distinct characteristics, and applicability in the current system.
