ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to develop popular music composition program as a selection program that could be applicable to free semester. This program is not about just listing and teaching professional knowledge and techniques regarding composition. Rather, students could find dreams, talents, aptitude and plan holistic development by learner-centered composing activities. In this twice a week class, students will compose commonly heard music such as Nanta rhythm, background music, commercial music, melody which matches to the chord and personal songwriting by group project.
