ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the tendency in research of Korean traditional music education and to provide implications for the future of Korean traditional music education. This study selected 204 articles published in 10 journals including SSKME (The society of study for Korean music education) and KMES (Korean music education society) during the year 2005~2014. According to the analysis, more articles for general education of Korean traditional music than professional education have been published. In addition, numerous studies for elementary school and on the content of the curriculum and guidance plan have progressed. In conclusion, the current trend in research of Korean traditional music education suggests several implications.
