ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore a teaching and learning method for adult choir employing Brain-Based Learning Theory. Choral music that possesses some elements of collaborative learning is a way of music education that effectively performs Brain-Based Learning. To this end, the researcher examined the brain learning principles associated with brain science and understood the concept of cooperative learning to navigate a teaching and learning method for adult choir based on Brain-Based Learning Theory. As a result, the study designed 12 steps composed of `before learning`, `during learning`, and `after learning` applying the principles of Brain-Based Learning Model developed by Jensen. and explored a teaching and learning method for adult choir based on Brain-Based Learning incorporating elements of cooperative learning to make the choir classes more efficient.
