A study on the Research Trend of Music Education in Korea with Special Reference to `Korean Journal of Research in Music Education` : Focusing on key words selected by the author

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to examine research trend of music education in Korea by means of correlation analysis of key words selected by the author among articles in `Korean Journal of Research in Music Education` published by the Korean Music Education Society. Analysis subjects were 1371 key words in 369 articles between 2003 and August 2016 in `Korean Journal of Research in Music Education.` As for analysis program, KrTitle Soft Program and semantic network analysis program NetDraw of UCINET were used. As a result, total 30 key words were extracted. Among them, `music education`, `course curriculum` and `music teacher` are at the center of network which played the most important role in structuring topics of the thesis. And, as for centrality index, while `music education`, `course curriculum` and `music teacher` were high, `creativity`, `music appreciation` and `multicultural education` had apparent differences in their centrality.
