The purpose of this study is to explore instruction methods for the development of musical competencies in `music in everyday life` domain that was newly revised in the national music curriculum in 2015. This study investigated the instruction methods based on the structure of musical competency, the criteria and its explanation of achievement in music subject, and six types and its definition of achievement in music subject presented in the 2015 music curriculum. This study classified some examples of activities in everyday life that can be applied to each musical competency, illustrated those examples based on the criteria and its explanation of achievement in music subject, and suggested, as its result, a subject-based instruction method for the criteriaof `music in everyday life` domain. This study implies that national music curriculum should be developed based on the contents of each musical competency, suggest concrete examples of activities, amd seek instruction methods for realizing an effective music education.
