A Study on the Effect of Basic Psychological Needs on Emotional Adaptation of College Students : Focusing on Ensemble Classes

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the moderating effects of ensemble classes among a variety of liberal arts of universities when it comes to basic psychological needs on the emotional adaptation of college students. Basic psychological needs of college students have partially influenced their emotional adaptation. It is statically significant in order of negative relationship(β=-.405), positive rela-tionship(β=.207), and competence(β=.193). There is the partial moderating ef-fects of satisfaction of ensemble classes on the emotional adaptation. Especially, the satisfaction of contents have influenced the following factors; competence(β=.150), and negative relationship(β=.245). Although competence has a positive relationship with the contents of classes, it has a negative rela-tionship with the emotional adaptation. This study shows that cultivating hu-manity is the most important factor of the liberal arts at universities and try to raise quality of emotional adaptation.
