The results showed that various Chinese songs were adopted in the Korean junior high school music textbooks, “Mo Li Hua”, “Tian Gong Luo Shui”, “Tai Hu Chuan”, “A Li Shan De Gu Niang”, “Yue er Ming Feng er Jing” This study analyzed the socio-cultural, historical and musical characteristics of these five Chinese songs, and also attempted to explore their significance in music education. This study promotes Korean student awareness of Chinese music and culture; it may also contribute to the development of Korean music education if and when more Chinese songs are adopted in Korean textbooks.
