ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore the use of musicals to realizean integrated Culture and Art Education from the perspectives of Art Therapy based on Gestalt Therapy Theory. To this end, I suggest that the contents of the education using musicals should be reconstructed into story therapy, singing therapy and drama therapy by bringing the Gestalt approach of self-awareness, environmental contact, self-contact, interpersonal contact, and closing process for Gestalt Art Therapy. This viewpoint is expected to affect not only the change of emotional and behavioral patterns in education but also Culture and Art Education for adolescent education which requires psychological treatment. Thus, this study is to investigate using musicals in adolescent education and to suggest the instrumental aspects of the contents of education by applying the Art Therapy based on Gestalt Therapy Theory. This study suggests that the use of musicals in adolescent education is not only a practice of harmonized curriculum but also a valuable tool of the contents of education for psychological treatment, based on the Gestalt Therapy Theory.
