ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to use the BandLab application in singing practice class and chorus class, and to examine its music educational meaning as a way to operate vocal ensemble activities in a non-contact manner. It was shown that selecting an application that can be effective for vocal ensemble activities among many music-related applications and systematically using it considering the characteristics of the activity can bring meaningful educational effects despite the limited condition of the non-contact manner. In addition, the students presented a very positive evaluation of the use of the application, which indicates that the appropriate application can be an effective approach for non-contact music practical classes, as well as it can be a valid approach for music practical classes in Corona New-Normal era, which is characterized by an un-tact culture, an on-tact communication method, and a stay-at-home culture.
